Christine LeLacheur

Speaker, Facilitator, Tea Drinker

Christine’s Three Words: Enlighten. Engage. Ignite.

Bonus Word: Eh?

Hi there. I’m Christine LeLacheur. I’ve had the good fortune of building a career focused on two of my favorite (or favoUrite for my fellow Canadians!) things: talking about ideas and organizing them. Especially ideas about leadership, team and personal development, interpersonal communication, and relationship building. The individuals and teams I’ve worked with appreciate my direct-yet-gentle approach (I was once lovingly referred to by a client as an iron fist in a velvet glove) and my ability to distil ideas down into simple and digestible takeaways delivered with a side of humour.

So how did I get here? After completing my Bachelor of Commerce and MBA degrees, I gained some experience in the marketing and HR world, and then began teaching these subjects at colleges and universities across Canada. Similar to Libby, a consulting opportunity, which fell into my lap while on maternity leave, marked the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey when I started Cheurfire Consulting Inc. and I haven’t looked back since.

A decade later, I’ve worked with hundreds of professionals, managers, and executives to support their personal leadership development through coaching, consulting, and facilitating and building communities to bring these ideas together. I’m based in Toronto, love dishing out Canadiana trivia (especially when talking to Libby), adding as many stamps to the passport as possible and going to concerts and events with my husband (who I met at a Pearl Jam show!).

“(Christine) has an exceptional talent for highlighting the less obvious perspectives on an experience. She helped me learn how imagining several different view points will garner a much deeper understanding of the possible opportunities and outcomes.”

Libby’s Three Words: Educate. Liberate. Entertain.

Bonus Word: Y’All

Hello! I’m Libby Spears. For over 20 years, I’ve had the good fortune of building a successful career and business around my two favorite things: communication and leadership. I educate and speak for a living – and have a blast doing it! That’s because if there’s one thing I know, it’s how to connect with an audience in a way that’s transformational and entertaining at the same time.

So, how did I get here? After earning a master's degree in communication studies, I taught college for ten years and, after an unexpected consulting contract fell in my lap, I took a chance and started Bravo Communication and Consulting, or Bravo cc for short. I had no idea what it took to start a business so I got to Googling and the rest, as they say, is history. I teach professionals from all over the world in a variety of industries and backgrounds how to be game changers in the marketplace.  I love what I do and pinch myself daily that I get to work with people who are driven to succeed. I’m based in Texas, love any 1980s pop culture reference (shout out to my Gen X crew), can recite every word to the rap classic “Bust a Move”, and worship at the altar of the great Dolly Parton.

“(Libby's) engaging style, expertise and creativity allowed everyone in attendance to leave feeling inspired, confident and ready for their role. Her focus on the tools needed to “facilitate peers” rather than “teach” a workshop was completely on target.”

“I have worked with the C-Factor team for over 5 years, as they developed and facilitated programs for our business. Their expertise, creativity, ideas and input get results and has helped build a very positive culture and added significant growth to our participants. A key element that is important to me is that they are continually investing in their own knowledge and development to bring new ideas to their programs and participants. Their focus on developing leadership skills through helping participants prioritize and clarify where they need to develop and balance their leadership styles helps the individuals take ownership of their future to achieve both personal and professional goals. The C-Factor team has the unique ability to build an environment of trust for exploration and development of skills in a community that is challenged to harness the power of thinking differently and using your networks to collaborate and grow opportunities.”
